Hey everyone, welcome to the SoCal Saltwater fishing forum!
My name is Jerry, and I’m from Oxnard. I started SoCal Saltwater because I wanted to bring together people who enjoy fishing here in the 805 and make it easier to share information with each other.
I spend a lot of my time fishing on local sport boats out of the Channel Islands and enjoy getting out on boats like the Speed Twin and Island Fox. I also enjoy taking my kids fishing around the harbor. I’m always learning something new, whether it’s trying a different setup or figuring out what works for different fish.
I wanted to create a place where we can share fishing reports, talk about gear, ask questions, find people to fish with, and just connect with other local anglers. Whether you fish from a boat, kayak, beach, pier, or harbor, you’re welcome here. And if you’re new to fishing, don’t be afraid to ask questions—we all started somewhere.
